I really enjoyed photographing Emma’s Westchester Renaissance Bat Mitzvah.
The day before her ceremony, we met up at the Greenburgh Hebrew Center in Dobbs Ferry for some Temple Portraits. This gave me plenty of time to capture some great photographs of Emma and her family.
Her party was at the Westchester Renaissance Hotel, and it was spectacular. With so much going on and such a large number of guests, her parents had decided to add a second photographer to their Bat Mitzvah photography package, which was a really smart idea. That way, we could be in “two places at once”. At a Bat Mitzvah party, the adults and the children are often engaged in separate actives, and sometimes in separate rooms. With two photographers, we can capture more of what is going on.
Her friends and family all had a great time, with her parents and her younger brother really getting crazy on the dance floor.
One thing that I especially loved were the earplug party favors for the adults. Such a great idea!
