A few weeks before Katya’s Pleasantville Bat Mitzvah, she & her Mom met up with me for a “pre-mitzvah” portrait session. Katya wanted some fun photos in her purple tulle party dress. We started outdoors in a local park and then went into the studio for some “high-fashion” shots. One of these was blown-up for friends to sign at her party. I always enjoy shooting these portrait sessions, and they are super-fun for my Bat Mitzvah girls. My clients love getting so many more fantastic portraits of their gorgeous kids without having to plan for extra portrait time on the actual event day.

Katya’s Havdalah Bat Mitzvah ceremony took place at Congregation Sons of Israel in Briarcliff Manor. Before the ceremony, we met up in a local park for some portraits featuring the beautiful Fall foliage.

Her party was held at Jean Jacques patisserie in Pleasantville. The room was decorated with flowers & pink balloons, and the “candy land” themed cake from The Cake Boss looked incredible.
