I always say that every bar or bat mitzvah is different, and here is a good case-in-point. This bat mitzvah family put their own personal touch on the celebration by hosting the service in their home. Right there in the living room, surrounded by her extended family, Maya read the Torah and became a bat mitzvah. There was even a quick hora afterwards!
